Some of the ugliest little companies make the biggest moves.
Tim Sykes built an indicator to catch the setup.

Sykes calls these runs Supernovas. He says they tend to start with a tight float, unusual buying and a confirmed breakout, in stocks Wall Street doesn't cover. He went through years of these trades and boiled the pattern down to 18 lines of code.

Palantir guided to third-quarter revenue of $2.160 billion to $2.164 billion. It closed Friday at $184.11 after a 6.3% drop.

AMD guided to about $13 billion, plus or minus $300 million. It fell 10.9% Friday to $504.80. Both sold off into their reports, so the outlook matters more than the quarter. Prices are Friday closes.

ONE TO WATCH MONDAY NIGHT

Apple (AAPL) closed Friday at $344.63, down 0.89% on the week from $347.73. Friday it dipped as low as $334.35 before recovering, on about 67.8 million shares. The four sessions before that ran 36 million to 43 million.

It reports Monday after the close, call 5:00 PM ET. Analysts expect $1.98 a share, up from $1.85 a year ago. The tell is what Apple says about the December quarter. Last week a soft next quarter cost Intel more than a quarter of its value in one day.
