Dear reader,

This stock trades for under $5 today.

Dr. Mark Skousen believes it could hit $50 by January 1st.

Why?

It’s one of the top stocks Elon Musk is targeting.

In fact, it’s just one of three companies on what Macroeconomic Strategist Mark Skousen calls Elon’s $2.1 Trillion Hit List.

He’s revealing the key details in his latest briefing.

📊 THE HEADLINE THAT MATTERS THIS WEEKEND

"Dow rises 500 points to snap 4-day slide as oil cools, traders look past inflation report"

CNBC, after Friday’s close.

August CPI landed about where it was supposed to. Core ran a little hot. By the time the dust settled, traders had the odds of a Fed rate hike next Wednesday above 85%.

And the market went up anyway. Dow +509.19 to 52,573.29. S&P 500 +0.86% to 7,656.98. Nasdaq +0.96% to 26,333.04. That ends a four-day losing streak, the Dow’s longest since late April.

So what actually moved? Oil. WTI dropped 2.4% to settle at $100.05. Brent fell 2.8% to $104.61. The 10-year yield eased. Stocks went green the moment crude came off the boil.

Here is the whole week in one sentence. This tape is not trading the Fed anymore. It is trading a barrel of oil. A hike that is 85% priced is not news. A crude benchmark that swings 10% in five sessions is.

One thing to keep in your head over the weekend: the week still finished red. Dow −1.6%, S&P −0.8%, Nasdaq −0.7% and its first down week in three. A 509-point Friday inside a losing week is a bounce, not a turn. Treat it that way until Monday says otherwise.

📈 WHAT ACTUALLY LED

1 · HEWLETT PACKARD ENTERPRISE (HPE)  +11%
Best percentage gainer in the S&P 500 on the day. Nothing about rates, nothing about oil. Money went straight back into AI infrastructure the second the macro pressure let up.
2 · DELL TECHNOLOGIES (DELL)  +10%
Same trade, same session. When the two biggest movers in a 500-point rally are both server names, that tells you where the conviction is. Cisco led the Dow at +4.1% on the same theme.
3 · THE ONE TO LEARN FROM  ORCL & ADBE
Oracle posted strong results and a good cloud outlook, opened higher, then gave the whole move back. Adobe put up a solid quarter and fell anyway on recurring-revenue worries. Two reminders that the print is not the trade. What the stock does with the print is the trade.

📅 WHAT THE WEEKEND IS REALLY FOR

Wednesday is the Fed. If a hike is already 85% priced, the hike is not the event. The statement and the path are. That is what Monday and Tuesday will be positioning around, and it is why chasing Friday’s close into Monday’s open is a bad habit this particular weekend.

Oil is the variable nobody controls. WTI still finished the week up almost 10% and Brent up almost 9%, even after Friday’s pullback. Since the Iran conflict started at the end of February, WTI is up 52.9%, and it is up 78.5% on the year. The 30-year yield touched 5.373% this week, the highest since 2007. Those two numbers, not the CPI headline, are what is setting the tone.

So build two lists before Monday. One of names that ran because oil ran. One of names that ran because the AI buildout ran. They are not the same trade and they will not survive the same headline. The open will tell you which one the market kept. Let it prove it first, then act.

FROM OUR PARTNERS

Where should you invest $50 today?

Where should you invest $50 today?

Elon Musk just started backing a hot new startup that’s already growing faster than Tesla… faster than SpaceX…

And it’s even growing 23 times faster than Nvidia.

That’s why The Atlantic called it…

"The fastest-growing business in the history of capitalism."

Even though this has nothing to do with robots, self-driving cars and rockets, its CEO is projecting growth of up to 8,000% for this year… Enough to turn $1,000 into $80,000.

Click here and Jeff Brown will show you how to claim your pre-IPO stake for as little as $50.

SHH. THIS IS A CLUB.

You only get the tape because you actually open and click. Go quiet and we give your chair to someone who won’t. No waitlist. No apology.

Build the lists. See you Monday. 📡
