Larry Benedict names the inflation-linked play in a free interview.

KEY TAKES

  • Indexes green into the final hour (SPY +0.51%, QQQ +0.38%, DIA +0.76%) — real move is wireless, not beta.
  • SpaceX ~$8B Grain 800 MHz spectrum: CCI +12.2%, AMT +7.5%; TMUS −12.7%, T −9.7%, VZ −9.4%.
  • Download the Simple Options guide before the free link expires (From Profits Run)
  • HUM +12.6% on 2027 CMS Stars (95% of MA members in 4+ plans). FSLY +18% Oppenheimer Outperform/$35.
  • UMich prelim Oct 46.3 vs 47.6e; 1-yr inflation ~4.7%. Sticky print, soft green tape.

Late-session read as of 1:34 PM ET (market open until 4:00 PM ET): SPY 777.90 (+0.51%), QQQ 750.44 (+0.38%), DIA 515.55 (+0.76%), IWM 278.89 (+0.48%). TLT flat. GLD +1.49%.

Not a broad risk-on. SpaceX’s Grain low-band buy is splitting wireless into the final hour: tower REITs got the fourth-tenant bid; Big Three carriers got marked down. Humana’s Stars recovery is a 2028 quality-bonus unlock. UMich printed soft with sticky inflation, and indexes still held green on those two bids.

TODAY'S TOP 5

1 · FSLY+18.1% — $29.88 | Oppenheimer Outperform, $35 PT on AI traffic + security cross-sell.

2 · NVAX+15.5% — $12.72 | EU path for Sanofi Phase 3 COVID-flu; ~$125M milestone talk.

3 · HUM+12.6% — $435.74 | 2027 CMS Stars: 95% of MA members in 4+ plans (Business Wire + 8-K).

4 · CCI+12.2% — $77.30 | SpaceX Grain spectrum keeps tower-tenant option alive (Bernstein).

5 · IOVA+11.2% — $14.81 | Baird target action; volume >10M.

Noise: VEEA follow-through, NAUT/ABSI/DNA/QSI micros, leveraged single-stock ETFs.

THE SIGNAL

SpaceX’s Grain spectrum check re-priced wireless vs carriers. Towers got paid as a potential fourth tenant (CCI +12%, AMT +7.5%) while TMUS, T, and VZ were marked down ~9–13%. Soft green indexes masked a sector rotation, not Waller relief. Humana’s Stars rebound is a 2028 bonus unlock. The payer that got Stars back got the bid.

Wrong if: Carriers bounce into the bell and CCI/AMT give back the SpaceX premium — Friday was a one-day headline fade.

HEADLINE OF THE DAY

“Humana Announces Improved CMS Star Ratings with 95% of MA Members in 4-Star or Above Plans for 2027”

Business Wire / Humana PR | Oct 9, 2026 ~10:10 ET (CMS ratings Oct 8)

From ~20% in 4+ star plans in 2026 to 95% for 2027. AEP starts Oct 15. HUM ~$435.7 (+12.6%) — Stars recovery, not a beta bounce.
