TODAY'S TOP 5 GAINERS
1 · INO +222.2% · $1.94. Inovio won FDA accelerated approval for Voceryq, its immunotherapy for RRP, and H.C. Wainwright upgraded it to Buy with a $5 target. More than 164M shares have traded.
2 · EVGO +47.6% · $1.86. LS Power offered $2 a share in cash for EVgo (The Fly, 9:39 AM ET), and JPMorgan moved it up to Neutral. The stock still trades under the bid, and that gap is the market's doubt.
3 · PERI +31.2% · $11.41. Perion agreed to be bought by Affle 3iL for $11.70 a share in cash, a 34.5% premium, with a 40-day go-shop. Craig-Hallum cut it to Hold at the deal price.
4 · IDXX +21.1% · $667.30. IDEXX grew Q3 sales 10% (Motley Fool), and the stock has held a gain near 20% since the first hour despite a softer margin outlook.
5 · ULCC +18.1% · $7.62. Frontier has no company news today. It is trading the oil drop, part of an airline move Seeking Alpha tied to Middle East diplomacy.
Left off: SEGG +62% on a Q2 revenue jump from a tiny base while it fights a Nasdaq delisting notice, and CLRO +58% with no fresh news in the feed. Treat both as noise. |

THE SIGNAL
Oil is pricing in a deal before there is one. Crude is down 7% on diplomatic efforts, not a signed agreement, and that alone is lifting airlines and the Dow while energy gives back. With the midterms on Tuesday and Apple and AMD reporting, this tape is leaning on headlines that can flip in a day.
Wrong if: Oil gives back half of today's drop by Wednesday while the diplomacy stays talk. That would make Monday a relief trade, not a new trend for fuel-sensitive stocks.

HEADLINE OF THE DAY
“Airline stocks on the rise as Middle East diplomatic efforts drive down oil”
Seeking Alpha | Nov 2, 1:02 PM ET
Airlines are the cleanest read on oil. When they move this much on talks alone, traders are betting cheaper fuel lasts long enough to show up in next quarter's costs.

ONE TO WATCH
AAPL (Apple) reports fiscal Q4 after Monday's close, with the Street at $1.98 a share. Last $337.52, -2.06% as of 1:16 PM ET. Watch the holiday-quarter guide: a strong one can steady QQQ, and a soft one adds to the doubts around the AI trade.
