Every Monday, Tim Bohen’s algorithm
hunts for one tiny stock ready to move.

Most traders spend Sunday guessing what Monday will bring.

Tim Bohen built an algorithm so he wouldn’t have to guess. He calls it The Monday Algo.

Each week it scans for small stocks about to break out, moves he says can play out in as little as one day.

Right now it is flashing on a new low-priced stock that Tim thinks has a real shot at moving 100% or more this Monday.

Monday’s opening bell rings at 9:30 AM ET.

SUNDAY SETUP

Cash is shut until Monday’s 9:30 AM ET open. Futures reopen at 6:00 PM ET Sunday, the first read on whether Friday’s selling follows us into the week. Every price below is Friday’s close.

Chips carry a nine-session losing streak into Monday

CNBC · MarketWatch · QuoteMedia · Oct 16-17, 2026

The VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) closed lower nine sessions in a row through Friday, from $633.90 on Oct. 5 to $539.79. That is a 14.8% slide, and CNBC and MarketWatch say SMH hasn’t strung together a run like it since 2006. Friday alone took 3.4%, and all 30 stocks in the Philadelphia chip index fell (Investing.com).

Who’s exposed: Chip suppliers whose sales ride on what the big AI spenders budget for next year. CNBC ties the slide to worry that AI spending is about to slow.

Next: Monday brings the NAHB homebuilder index at 10:00 AM ET, Fifth Third and Cleveland-Cliffs before the open, and Steel Dynamics, Zions and W.R. Berkley after the close. The real chip test comes Wednesday, when Lam Research and Texas Instruments report and Tesla and Meta follow after the close.

Wrong if: SMH finishes green Monday and stays above Friday’s $539.79 through Wednesday. That would make Friday the flush and the streak an overreaction.

THREE BEATS INTO THE WEEK
